Stages of your Tour
Benvenuto and Leg Loosener
27km, 220m climb
Welcome to Italy! As is customary with an Italy Bike Tours’ holidays, you will be met by one of our friendly team at the airport or designated meeting point, who will transfer you to La Pieve Lake Hotel. On arrival we will assist with bags and check-in before we ready your bikes for an afternoon ride to stretch the legs and check bikes are perfect for you. Dinner will be served in the hotel restaurant with views over Lake Iseo.
Lake Iseofranciacorta
68km, 250m climb
After a sumptuous breakfast served al fresco style by the side of the pool, we will hop on the bikes after a quick safety talk, and the ride will commence with a gentle ride to the west of Lake Iseo. Much of the ride is on the cycle path and the 9km from Velo to Toline is nothing short of sensational. Our destination is Franciacorta wine region and the beautiful vineyard Bersi Serlini. On arrival we have planned a tour, wine tasting and of course some cheese and local hams to enjoy. We will transfer you back to the hotel for an aperitivo and then this evening you are free to explore Pisogne’s historic centre.
FranciacortaVal Camonica
62km, 350m climb
After the obligatory brioche and great coffee, we are off on the bikes heading north on the cycle path that takes us through Val Camonica. A valley blessed with crystal clear rivers and majestic mountains that rise high above and soar in the blue sky. Today’s ride is largely flat, and our destination is the alpine town of Capo di Ponte. Here we will stop to explore the town and start our organised tour of the UNESCO tourist site learning the history behind the world-famous rock drawings. A journey back to pre-iron age and life before bikes! We will ride back enjoying the scenery and taking some photos on the way. This evening dinner will be enjoyed on Monte Isola, the largest lake island in Europe. In the spring it is a beautiful place to visit with very few tourists.
Val CamonicaLake iseo loop
51km, 340m climb.
No trip to Lake Iseo is complete without a ride around the lake itself. This is simply cycling paradise and to ride this road is to enjoy the very best of Italy. An Italy not yet spoilt by mass tourism of any sort. With the lake to our right-hand side, we start from the hotel and go through Iseo, Sarnico, Riva di Solto, Castro, and Lovere and of course we will enjoy coffee and lunch on-route. This evening you are free to explore Pisogne’s historic centre.
Lake IseoBergamo
40km, 180m climb.
This morning we transfer you via van the short distance (but uphill!) to Clusone in the next Valley. This charming town is well worth a visit, and you will have plenty of time to enjoy a coffee before we hop on the bikes and enjoy the ride through Val Seriana to Bergamo Città Alta. The capital of the province, Bergamo Città Alta is now one of the most visited cities for those visiting Italy wanting to discover ‘unspoilt Italy’. The ride is primarily on cycle paths which allows you to chat, take photos and marvel at the beautiful surroundings. On arrival at Città Alta we will of course enjoy ice cream (before or after lunch!) and enjoy making the local Casoncelli dish! This evening, dinner will be enjoyed in the hotel restaurant, a chance to reflect on your holiday and think about your next cycling adventure with Italy Bike Tours.
Bergamo Citta AltaArrivederci!
Sadly, all good things must come to an end and we will be delighted to assist you with your onward travel, or should you wish we would be happy to arrange more days of beautiful cycling in Italy.

Here is what our clients say about this tour………
Went on a trip of a lifetime to Italy with my two best friends. We experienced an incredible 5 day “Early Spring Sunshine” tour hosted by Italy Bike Tours. Christian, our lead tour guide, was fully competent and so much fun. In addition, we were supported by Carlo and Marco who were also fantastic. From beautiful scenic rides, great dining, wine tour/tasting they had it all covered to enhance our experience. We felt safe and secure with their riding support and any issue, like a flat tire, was dealt with in moments. This was my first bike tour but definitely not the last. I will use and recommend Italy Bike Tours in future.
