This trip could not have been better! The origination, the accommodations, the meals, the rides..all first class. Biking in Italy has always been on my list. Biking on the east side with Milano Marittima as the home base was truly incredible. Fausto, Jacqueline and the whole team were fantastic. I had a wonderful bike tour with Italy Bike Tours. Firstly Matt was very helpful in making arrangements to fit my schedule and maximise my riding as I was boxed in and couldn’t make the full Dolomites Tour dates. Then the tour guides Fausto and Ivan were very competent and super helpful, taking care and responsibility to ensure that everyone was catered for as best as possible. Not always easy with a mixed group but they absolutely made it work. IBT supplied good bikes, no one had any issues whatsoever and they were cleaned and checked every night. And lastly the riding…spectacular! Awesome routes, great roads and well catered. Absolutely I’d recommend IBT and ride with them again.

Our Dolomites and Italian Alps adventure was self guided and as such our expectations of support from IBT team was minimal. Carlo was our nominated support and completely exceeded our expectations and was a fantastic ambassador for the IBT business. Our bikes were cleaned and maintained by Carlo. Whenever there was a risk of being under prepared with warm clothes etc Carlo was there to help. If we needed more water Carlo was there. Went on a trip of a lifetime to Italy with my two best friends. We experienced an incredible 5 day “Early Spring Sunshine” tour hosted by Italy Bike Tours. From beautiful scenic rides, great dining, wine tour/tasting they had it all covered to enhance our experience. Just finished the Early Spring Sunshine Tour and can’t say enough good things about it. My first ever bike tour so I don’t have anything to compare it to but there is not one single thing I can think of that could have been better. Christian, our guide, was amazing. He kept us safe and shared not only his knowledge of the area, but his love of food (he used to be a chef). Carlo in the support van was there waiting whenever we needed him (which was often, many flat tires!), and Marco..#1 freshman guide, perfectly rounded out the team supporting us. The food was fantastic, even the lunch stops and the activities planned outside of the ride were all great as well. We were kept so busy I didn’t have time to start the book I brought with me. You will not be disappointed if you do a tour with this company. Wholeheartedly recommend. And a final note, we were three 50-something moms, who are not avid cyclists at home. We get out a bit and also ride spin bikes at home, but never felt it was too much. If you are in the same situation, the e-bikes will make it doable. This tour, Unexpected Tuscany, is as advertised. Rolling hills with beautiful scenery through charming villages and delicious food at every stop. Our guides, Fausto and Ivan, did all the work, all we did was ride and enjoy. Fausto is on his bike showing us the way while pointing out historical sites, landmarks and potholes. The terrain is up and down, of course, and includes some gravel roads. Fausto finds the best routes according to the situation avoiding traffic and poor road conditions. Ivan follows along with the van and is ready to handle any problem that might come up. We did jump in the van after being soaked by rain once. The rain was expected so Fausto made Ivan ride that day and he drove the van. Even though we had ebikes, my wife and I (65) were tired at the end of each day and ready to relax. Unexpected Tuscany was a great tour and our guides,Fausto and Ivan took fantastic care of us. April was a great time of year, everything was green and there were absolutely no crowds. We had the towns and hotels mostly to ourselves.

My experience with the Italy Bike Tour was sensational. I usually do the bike trips by myself. But having their experience with everything, with the service, with the support, with hotel, with meal, mainly the translate to airport, with all the help and entrances to VIP areas was different. I felt calm enough to focus on what I needed, THE GRANFONDO itself!!! The team was very attentive, very committed, all the members were super nice to me. We just completed the Italy Bike Tours ‘Tuscany Sip & Cycle’, which was incredible. Our guides included Alberto and Ivan who were very professional, organised and supportive. The quality of the ride routes was 2nd to none. However the big surprise for me was the quality of the extra activities that were organised including wine tours, truffle hunting and a private tour of Siena. These were outstanding. We participated in the wellness on two wheels tour. It was a fabulous combination of cycling and relaxing activities. Christian, our tour guide was absolutely fantastic! Not only is he an excellent cyclist who kept us safe on the Italian roads but he is also a Chef! Last week I did a day trip with Italy Bike Tours, cycling round Lake Iseo. The views of the lake set against the mountains were spectacular. Although I am not superfit (average I’d say) and not the most experienced cyclist (average I’d say), that was never a problem. My tour guide Jacqueline was encouraging and made me feel comfortable. Brakes for coffee etc in villages along the way always happened at the right time! Jacqueline was also very knowledgeable about the area and the information she shared made the tour even more worthwhile. Highly recommended!

Just returned from an excellent 4 days with IBT in Italy. Based Lago d’Iseo but also cycled lake Como. Fantastic 4 days culminating in VIP Hospitality at the finish of Il Lombardia, and then rode GF Lombardia on the final day. I traveled solo but cycled with a really good group. Hard cycling but social too. I’ve been before and concerned it would be more of the same but was totally different. Highlights included: best road guiding by top notch ex pro riders and area experts (special thanks John and Alberto): aperitifs at one of our guides houses overlooking the lake (well thanks to his mother who put on a fine spread...): well scoped programme for 4 days adjusted for us as things progressed :a fine dinner laid on for us in a local restaurant which I doubt Michelin could even find if they wanted to award a star!

We did a ton of research and this was BY FAR the most bang for your buck. This included 5 days of riding with rides ranging from 25 miles to 60 miles (and tons of elevation gain), 7 nights in pretty nice hotels (nothing crazy fancy but all quality hotels), meals, brand new Bianchi Aria bikes w/ Ultegra, incredible former world tour guides, and VIP hospitality access to a mountain top finish stage along with other pre arranged Giro stage watching areas. It was truly incredible and I would absolutely go back again in a heartbeat. For the most part we didn't spend a penny while we were with the group. Just typing this up makes me very tempted to book another trip next year...

My husband is a much stronger cyclist than what I am. To have been able to go out and cycle with the peace of mind that I was being looked after if anything went wrong was a huge plus for me. My husband could go out and enjoy his cycle and not have to worry about me. Being in the slower group made no difference at all, we were all treated the same and felt just as proud on completing our cycle. Being this close to the Giro d'Ítalia was a very special experience. I also really liked staying in one place for 2 or more nights - it made seeing an area that much more worthwhile and it was not at all rushed. The guides were kind, caring, helpful and very encouraging. Clive runs a very well-organized tour, the bikes were brilliantly maintained and if you had any problems Matt was there to assist and sort it out for you.
