On arrival at BGY Airport, you will be met by one of our friendly staff and transferred towards the southerly tip of Bergamo, a charming city in northern Italy, located in the Lombardy region. It is known for its picturesque medieval architecture, especially in the Città Alta (upper town), perched on a hill and surrounded by Venetian walls. The Città Bassa (lower town) offers a vibrant atmosphere with shops, restaurants, and cultural attractions. Bergamo is also famous for its culinary delights, including local cheeses and polenta. We will warm up our legs for the weekend in a hilly area, enjoying a magnificent sunset, among the vineyards of Colle di Pasta. This will also be the first climb of the Granfondo. Dinner this evening is in our favourite restaurant looking out over the lake, only a 5-minute drive down the road.
